1900 Second Phase Chief Blanket size-runner Bead Diameter: 14Circa 1900 Navajo Second Phase Chief Blanket style weaving worked in the classic banded format of alternating cream and dark brown stripes. The field is overlaid with horizontal blue bars and vibrant red and yellow rectangular elements, reflecting the late transitional period when commercial aniline colors were incorporated into traditional Chief Blanket designs. Handwoven with hand carded and hand spun wool. Condition is consistent with age and use.
